We ask that subjects bring two or three possible outfits for their interview. Everybody wants you to look great on film! Here are technical considerations for what to wear:
- 1. White can look "bleached out" on camera. This is okay if it is a lab coat, but undesirable if it is a simple button down shirt.
- 2. Intricate pattern can distract the viewer, and vertical stripes can cause video artifacts (especially if the video might be played on a television.)
- 3. Brand names and logos can distract from your message. (Unless you are a representative of that company.)
- 4. Dangling jewlery, rustling fabric, or "noisy" clothing in general can (obviously) create audio distractions.
